Philip V. Carter, 67, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, surrounded by family. Philip was born on April 25,1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Robert L. and Carol P. Carter. He is survived by his three children, Nicholas Carter, Carolyn (Jordan) Scheuermann and Brian Carter; his two brothers Scott Carter and Craig (Brenda) Carter; nieces Riain (Greg) Todd, Jennifer (Rob) Means and Lindsey Carter; nephew Reed Carter

Phil attended Indian Hill Schools from kindergarten through his graduation in 1976. He completed his undergraduate degree at University of Cincinnati in 1980 and went on to complete his Master’s degree in Business Administration. He began his career in sales with US Steel, went on to work as a manager for the General Electric Aircraft Engine group for 20 years and completed the balance of his career in various Sales positions.

Growing up Phil became an accomplished tennis player, achieved his black belt in karate, took up the game of golf and had a passion for working on cars. We will all remember him for his humor and was never one to shy away from a good joke.

A celebration of life gathering with family and friends will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5-8 pm at Phil’s favorite restaurant, the Original Montgomery Inn, 9440 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 9820 Kenwood Rd, Suite 104, Blue Ash, OH 45242 or to a charity of your choice.
