Phillip G Lewis

Phillip G. Lewis, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on January 16, 1945, in Logan, WV to the late Estill and Freida (nee Adkins) Lewis.

Phil's love and dedication to his loved ones knew no bounds. His wife, children, and grandchildren meant the world to him. He truly was the best husband, dad, and papaw.

Phil was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Beverly (nee Ison) Lewis; Loving father of Phillip Lewis Jr., Mark (Mary) Lewis, Dennis Lewis, and Jennifer Lewis; Papaw of Killian Jones, Tyler (Jessie) Carnes, Chloe Lewis, and the late Kinsley Lewis; Great-grandpa of Theodore Carnes, Georgie Carnes, and Elsie Carnes; Brother of Diana Duguid and Linda Southwick; Brother-in-law of George (Sue) Ison, Maggie Ison and Shirley Moore. Phil is also survived by his brother and best friend Carter Hamilton, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Phil's warm and cheerful personality brightened the lives of all who knew him. A natural comedian, he had a talent for lifting spirits and sparking laughter wherever he went. His generous spirit and unwavering kindness made everyone feel welcomed, loved, and accepted in his presence. A man of connections, Phil never met a stranger, and his ability to forge deep and genuine relationships was truly remarkable.

An enthusiastic sports fan, Phil's passion for the UK Wildcats (Go Big Blue!) and the Cleveland Browns was unrivaled. He not only enjoyed watching games but also actively participated in sports himself, playing baseball, basketball, and softball. His dedication to the sports community extended to coaching basketball in the Milford youth leagues, where he positively impacted countless young athletes, including his own children and grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at Evans Funeral Home - 741 Center St, Milford, OH 45150. Celebration of life will begin at 7:00 PM.
