Phyllis Janet Haynes
Phyllis Haynes, a beloved wife, mother, and friend to many, passed away on June 1, 2024. Phyllis was born on December 5, 1936, in Corbin, KY, to the late Lloyd and Eva (nee Bunch) Cobb.
Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years Weldon H. Haynes; Loving mother of Marvin Edward Alsip (Rodney Reed Steward) and Susan (Keith) Nubel; Dear step-mother of Jeffrey W. (Christine) Haynes, Becky (Aaron) Ellis, and Kathy (Tim) Baugh; Grandmother of Cody (Kelsey) Nubel, Casey (Bianca Sidoti) Nubel, Rachel Fisher, Keegan (Alexa) Ellis, Evan Baugh, and Kendall (Eric) Rodriguez; Great grandmother of Jade Nubel and Atticus Ellis.
Phyllis was an integral part of the Border Lords Car Club and served as the Ohio director for the Customs of America car show, where she organized and coordinated numerous events within the community. Her giving nature extended beyond her work, as she always strived to bring joy to others and lift spirits with her positivity.
Known for her unwavering love for her family and friends, Phyllis cherished every moment she spent with them. She had a special fondness for yorkies, reflecting her gentle and caring personality in all aspects of her life. Phyllis will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home - 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park - 10209 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Memorial contributions can be made in Phyllis's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
