Ralph William Huey

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ralph William Huey on August 25, 2024, at the age of 92. Ralph was born on March 7, 1932, in Hamilton, OH, to the late Roll W. and Dorothy (nee Burnett) Huey.

Ralph was the beloved husband of 65 years to the late Geneva R. Huey (nee Lewis). He is survived by his children; Debra K. (the late Dave) Bryant and Ralph W. (Jimmie Sue) Huey, Jr.; Loving grandfather of Ralph Everett Huey, Amanda Leigh Huey, David Paul Bryant, Lindsay Marie Koeller, and Joshua (Rachel) Eberly; Great-grandfather of Thomas Ramstetter, and Keegan and Kayla Eberly.

Throughout his life, Ralph embodied values of strength, humor, and wisdom. A 33rd degree Mason and a member of the esteemed 3rd Armored Tank Division, he dedicated himself to service, both in his professional endeavors and in his commitment to his country. His time in the Army, where he rose to the rank of CPL(T), shaped his character and instilled in him a profound sense of duty and honor.

Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, finding solace in the tranquility of fishing, camping, and the craftsmanship of woodworking. His love for nature and his penchant for sharing stories and laughter endeared him to all who crossed his path. Known for his insightful sayings, Ralph would often remind those around him that "It's what you learn after you know it all that makes you smart," a testament to his lifelong pursuit of knowledge and growth.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home - 741 Center St, Milford, OH 45150. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Garden.
