In Loving Memory of Ralph Joseph Nagel

On November 16, 2024, Ralph Joseph Nagel, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and cherished member of the community peacefully passed away at the age of 90. Born in Cincinnati on November 7, 1934, Ralph lived a life filled with love, dedication, and a profound commitment to his family and faith.

Throughout his life, Ralph found joy in the simple things - from his love for gardening to his passion for reading to the soothing melodies of Bluegrass music. He worked for the Cincinnati Post Newspaper until 1979 and afterwards went on to dedicate 27 years of service as a custodian at CNE Schools.

Ralph's unwavering faith led him to be an active member of his church, where he served as a Eucharist Minister for over 30 years. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, embodying the values of service and brotherhood.

Ralph is the beloved husband of Nancy (nee Lawson) loving father of the late Ralph Jay Nagel, Robert Joseph (Vickie) Nagel, Paul Anthony Nagel, Sr. Theresa Marie Nagel, Michael John (Amber) Nagel, Stephen Thomas (Anna) Nagel ,Mary Katherine Nagel-Buchwald and the late Christopher Allen Nagel, devoted grandfather of Libby, Katie, Rob, William, Carlene, Rica, Landon, Easton, Nicholas, Joseph, Maria May, Drew, Rebekah and Christopher, great grandfather of Grayson and Elena, and the dear brother of Don Nagel.

His face would light up when playing with his grandkids, creating memories that will endure through generations. Ralph's love extended beyond his family to his beloved dog Sadie, with whom he shared countless cherished moments.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Ralph's life will be held at St. Patrick Church on November 22, 2024, at 11:00 am. Prior to the funeral service, visitation will take place at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on November 21, 2024, from 5-7 PM.

Following the mass, Ralph will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery.

As we celebrate the life of Ralph Joseph Nagel, let us remember his kindness, his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his faith, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
