Ralph Leon Roberts, III of Cincinnati, OH passed away February 20, 2023 at his residence at East Gate Village. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Debra. Born in Branford, CT on February 21, 1942, son of the late Ralph Leon Roberts, Jr. and Anna Boncek Roberts.


Ralph proudly served in the Army, a decorated paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division during the 1965 Dominican Republic crisis. After his time served in the Army, Ralph attended the University of Vermont, Brown University and then furthered his education earning his Doctoral Degree in Anthropology at Syracuse University in 1974. He also completed his curriculum as a teaching Assistant Professor in Anthropology. His love of adventure included traveling and the outdoors. Lots of road trips with his brother Steve and daughter Tania.


Ralph’s early years living on a farm in Maryland were some of his favorite memories. They are highlighted by his love of horses and his beloved German Shepherd, Princett and Lobo. Other fond memories included time lived in Newport, VT where he attended high school in the early 1960’s and many happy days spent at the family camp on Echo Lake, East Charleston, VT. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.


Ralph is the proud father of Michael Kirk Roberts (Rose) of Benton, Pennsylvania and Tania Marie DeGregorio of Austin, Texas, brother to Patricia A. McDonough (Michael) of Wakefield, MA, and preceded in death by his brother Stephen L. Roberts who lived in Hurst, TX. Devoted grandfather of Steven, Natasha, Ashley and Arik Roberts and Max DeGregorio. Great grandfather to Ash, Jade, Luna and Mia Roberts. He is also survived by his nephew Mark J. McDonough (Katrina) and great nephews Michael and Matthew, McDonough of Rocky Hill, CT. Also he leaves his two devoted friends Vikki Uhl and Chelsea Newkirk from Cincinnati.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 30,2023 at 10:00 A.M at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls, MA. Burial to follow at the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Greenfield, MA.
