Raymond Roy Gunkel

Raymond R. Gunkel, age 86 of Mt. Washington, passed Thursday, April 9, 2020 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1933 in Cincinnati, the son of Charles and Rose (nee Winkler) Gunkel. Raymond was the beloved husband of Lavina (nee Villari) for 49 years. Loving father of daughters: Debbie (Carl) Windsor, Toni Wells, Karen (Gary) Bates, Sharon Ramos and Pam Holmes, loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and the devoted uncle to the Benson nephews: Paul (Rosa), Phillip (Tina), Donny and the late Barry. He attended Mariemont High school, and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving during the Korean Conflict Era. Raymond retired from Williamson Heating and Air Conditioning after 37 years of service. He made everyone smile with his jokes and quick wit. Cars were a favorite topic of his. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Services will be held Friday, April 17, 2020, 12:00 noon at John H. Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford,45150 with interment following at Greenlawn Cemetery, Milford. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:30 AM on Friday.
