Raymond Edward Lovins

Raymond Edward "The Commander" Lovins of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on March 12, 2017.

Raymond is survived by his stepfather Jack Ross, stepmother Jean Lovins his brother Craig (Lael) Lovins, sister Vikki Lovins, three daughters Andrea Lovins, Karen (Greg) Schaufert, Chrissy (Andy) Clark; Grandchildren Ruby Rae, Alanna, Jessie, Ava & Arrius as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Ed Lovins and Donna (Roark) Ross.

Ray was a proud Army Veteran and Alumni of the University of Cincinnati. He spent his career as proprietor of the Miamiville Market, an insurance agent at Lovins Insurance Agency and a charismatic supervisor at the Ohio Bureau of Workmans Compensation. Ray loved treasure hunting, he was an archeologist and loved scouting freshly plowed fields for artifacts. He enjoyed scuba diving and metal detecting local beaches to add to his many collections. After retiring, Ray spent his time on his riding lawnmower and exploring flea markets. Ray will be laid to rest with the ashes of his beloved mother Donna and his companion "Taz the dog".

Visitation for Ray will be held on Thursday, March 16th at 7:30 -9:30pm at The Miamiville Methodist Church 369 Center St. Miamiville, Ohio 45147
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 17th at 10:30am Evans Funeral Home 741 Center St. Milford, Ohio 45150
Burial for family to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
At 1pm there will be a lunch reception at: Milford American Legion 450: 450 Victor Stier Dr. Milford, OH 45150
