Raymond William Schrichten Sr., a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 78 in Milford, Ohio. Born on December 14, 1946, in Westboro, Ohio, Ray's journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family and friends.A devoted husband, Ray shared a remarkable 55 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dixie Schrichten. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and joy, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of their children and grandchildren. Ray was a proud and supportive father and grandfather, always ready with a kind word or a playful joke to brighten their days.Ray found fulfillment in his work at Cast-Fab Technologies in Cincinnati as a leadman in the foundry industry. He was not just a diligent worker but also a friend to many, fostering camaraderie and good spirits among his colleagues. His time spent with the St. Andrew Church community in Milford was equally integral to his life. He formed deep connections and provided friendship and support to those around him, consistently offering his trademark sense of humor.An avid lover of the outdoors, Ray enjoyed fishing, spending time in nature, and mowing the grass, always taking pleasure in the simple joys of life. His passion for sports was evident; he was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals, often sharing in the excitement of their games with family and friends.Ray's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Schrichten, his children, Raymond Schrichten Jr., Michael Hobbs and Christopher DeMilt, his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and three brothers. His family that will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl William Schrichten and Frances Schrichten and four other brothers and sisters. Ray Schrichten will be remembered not only for the joy he brought to those around him but also for the love that he shared freely throughout his remarkable life.
