Raymond Sebastian

Raymond Sebastian beloved husband of 48 years to Linda (nee Lynn) Sebastian; loving father of James (Lori) Sebastian and Marcy (Chris) Weaver; Grandpa to Rachel, Lisa, Julie and John Sebastian, Alex and Gavin Weaver; dear brother of Linda (Gregg) Sipe; brother-in law of Don (Sandy) Lynn; Uncle of Jason Sipe, Molly (Craig) Hatfield and Abby Lynn. Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Inez (nee Taylor) Sebastian; and his father and mother -in- law, Clarence and Mary (nee Powell) Lynn. Ray enjoyed spending time and supporting his children and grandchildren in their activities. Ray was an Eagle Scout and served in the Ohio National Guard. He later served as Scoutmaster for the Owensville Boy Scout Troop. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, CNE Lions Club, served on the CNE Board of Education, and was active in many local, state and national building code organizations. He graduated from Milford High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Ohio University. After graduation, he operated his own mechanical contracting company, Badger Heating and Air. Ray then became a dedicated employee of Clermont County for nearly 30 years, serving as Chief Building Official from 1992 until his retirement in 2011. After retirement, Ray enjoyed spending time and traveling with family and friends. He will be missed by many and remembered for being a man of his word, his generosity, and his leadership. He passed away Monday August 14, 2017. Age 68. Residence Stonelick Township. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford on Friday August 18th from 10 AM until Noon.
