Richard Greimann

Richard Greimann, age 74 of Blanchester, passed away suddenly at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was born August 1, 1947 in Mariemont the son of Harry and Margaret (nee Fleischmann) Greimann. Richard is a Blanchester High School graduate, class of 1965. After graduation he entered the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam, during the Vietnam Era. When he was discharged, he returned to the family business, OK Tire, which his father built and started in Blanchester. Richard was involved in the business, at an early age, sweeping floors and other odd jobs for his father. He and his brother Robert continued with the business until its closing. Richard was the “Town Santa” of Blanchester, beginning when his wife, Belinda, needed a Santa for her Girl Scout Christmas party. Once in costume, he was “hooked on Santa” and his involvement with the community grew each year. He was thrilled to visit parties, work with the Madilyn Loftin Foundation, for those in need and riding the fire truck through town to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. He brought much joy to others and himself over the 20 years, collecting and distributing holiday gifts. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Belinda (nee Brown), whom he married July 20, 1977, a son; Steve (Diane Kappa) Greimann, brother; Robert (Lisa) Greimann, nieces; Diane and Joyce, nephews; Jackie, Dave and Mike, many great nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Phyllis Jones. Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28 in Goshen 45122 with visitation for family and friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday. Military honors provided by the Blanchester American Legion, will be at 7:45PM on Friday at the visitation. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford. His family requests memorials to the Kidney Foundation or to Wounded Warriors.
