HELMS, RICHARD THOMAS “DICK” – Beloved husband of over 50 years to the late Joyce Dorothy Helms (nee Gaskins); Devoted father of Kelli (Keith) Helms, Donna (the late Bobby) Trentman, Richard (Lisa) Helms Jr., and Barbara Helms; Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; Dick will be missed by his four-legged companion Zoe, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son-in-law, brother, and sister. Dick was a retired Chief Warrant Officer from the United States Army, and he was a longtime member of the Milford First United Methodist Church. He was a Cincinnati Bengals fan and enjoyed playing golf. Dick passed away Wednesday March 22, 2023, at Cincinnati VA Medical Center age 85 years, resident of Union Township.

There will be a visitation at the Milford First United Methodist Church 541 Main Street Milford, Ohio 45150 Monday March 27, 2023, from 10:30 AM until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM; Pastor Steven Rodgers will be officiating; Entombment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with military honors.

Celebration of Dick’s Life following entombment will be at the Helms' residence at 5005 Sesame Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45244 until 6:30 PM. If so desired, memorials may be made to any military charity of your choice.
