Rick L. Murphy

Rick L. Murphy, age 76, of Milford, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Hospice of Blue Ash. He was born July 16, 1941 in Cincinnati the son of George and Mary (nee Lewis) Murphy. He was a graduate of Madeira High School and from the Eastern Kentucky University. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard during the Vietnam Era. On November 21, 1964 he married Ginny (nee Gaetz) Murphy and they celebrated very close to 53 years of marriage. Rick retired in 1995 from GMAC after 31 years of service. He was a member of Milford Lodge #54 F&AM and the Cincinnati Shriners. He is survived by his wife Ginny, children and spouses; Kathy & David Langner, Julie & John Best and Mike & Colleen Murphy, grandchildren Lauren Best, Will Murphy, Anna Best, Jake Murphy, Mallory Langner, Julia Best and Zach Murphy, a brother and sister-in-law; Bob & Judy Murphy. Services will be 1PM Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford 45150. A Masonic Service will be held prior to the funeral service at 12:45 PM on Monday. Family and friends may visit 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Evans Funeral Home. Reverend Tom Kreidler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials in his honor can be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, Oh 45229.
