Obituary

Rickie Wayne Kidd, Sr., aged 72, who left this world peacefully on August 31, 2026. Born on April 10, 1954 in Middletown, Ohio. Rickie was a devoted father, brother, and friend, who touched the lives of many with his warmth and humor.

Rickie is survived by his five beloved daughters: Teresa M. Belouchi, Tina M. Hunley, WendL. Spalter, Dawn M. Owens, and Brandy Jo (Brandon) Brinkman. He is also survived by his son, Rickie (Ashley) W. Kidd, Jr., and a large family that includes his siblings Ronald R. (Sharon) Kidd, Gary D. Kidd, Michael L. (Kristen) Kidd, and Mary B. (Roger) Hatcher, and a treasured legacy of seventeen grandchildren: Ashley, Courtney, Zachary, Amanda, Bethany, Cameron, Paige, Tyler, Caitlin, Hayli, Brooke, Dominic, Sylus, Abrahm, Eleanor, Maddie, and Emma, and eight great-grandchildren. Rickie was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 23 years, Joy Kidd (nee Rose), son in law Adam Spalter, siblings Barbara Sue Kidd, Steven L .Kidd, Wenless Terry Kidd, Aletta Kay Bedinghaus, and parentWenless Terry Kidd, Sr. and Esther Kidd.

Rickie was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Loveland Aerie #3006, where he fostered friendships and shared laughter. His love for animals brought him joy as seen by all his many different types of pets over the years. He would spend hours at his window, watching the deer and raccoons he fed. Never one to meet a stranger, he embraced every encounter as a chance to make a new friend. His light-hearted spirit and infectious humor filled the lives of those around him; he loved saying, "I will be a Kidd until the day I die."

In reflection of a life well-lived, the family invites all who knew and loved Rick to join them in celebrating his memory. A visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on September 3, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on September 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, Rickie will be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Gardens.

As we gather to honor the legacy of Rickie Wayne Kidd, Sr., let us remember the joy he brought into our lives, the laughter that echoed in his presence, and the kindness he shared with all. Though he has moved on from this world, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
