Rita Mae Lewis

Rita Mae (nee Bowling) Lewis, 78 years old, went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2015 after her long battle with cancer. Rita, born December 20, 1936 at Manchester, KY, was the daughter of Shafter and Laura Bowling, and wife of Damon Lewis, who died several years prior. Rita is survived by her long time, very special friend Ron Kroeger; her sister Geneva Duncan; her nieces June Lipps, Carol Hoseapple, Pat Kacenski, her nephews, Roger Bowling, Ed Duncan, Bill Duncan, and many grand nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Martha Napier, and brothers, Oliver and Daniel Bowling. Rita was the caregiver for her parents for many years. Upon their death, she came to live with her sister, Geneva, in Milford, Ohio. In the 1990's, Rita moved to Sem Villa and lived there until her death. Rita loved her family, especially all the young nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed watching the Reds and Bengals. Rita loved the Lord and was a regular attender at Milford First Baptist Church. Thank you to all who helped Rita at the Anderson and Crossroads Hospice. Friends may call Monday November 16th at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford from 1:00 PM until time of Fuenral Service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to Crossroads Hospice or to Bearing Precious Seed.
