Robert Irvin Buettinger

Robert Irvin Buettinger, beloved husband of 50 years to the late Barbara (nee Bleich), father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, left us peacefully on February 23, 2026, at the age of 87 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Born on December 14, 1938 in Cincinnati, Robert was a dedicated sports fan with an unwavering loyalty to the Reds, Bearcats, and Bengals.

He was the loving father of Susanne (Terry) McCafferty, and devoted "Bubba" to Morgan (Will) O'Rourke, Ian McCafferty, Brendan McCafferty and his great-grandchild, Peter O'Rourke.

He was the cherished brother of Carol (Al) Meisman, dear brother-in-law of Don Bleich and the late Judy, and the late Richard and Annette Shaw. He was an uncle, great uncle and friend to many who will all remember him fondly. His family, especially his grandchildren were his greatest treasure, and he cherished every gathering, conversation, and milestone.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10:00AM with a service to follow at 10:30AM at Rest Haven Memorial Park Parkview Chapel, Blue Ash, to celebrate a life well-lived, filled with laughter, love, and an enduring passion for sports and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that any donations be made to Purcell Marion High School.
