Robert (Bob) C. Clawson, born on February 8, 1943, in Kenton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, after a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and a deep devotion to family and friends. He was 82 years old.Raised in a close-knit family with a strong sense of community, Bob was a proud graduate of Otterbein College, where he not only excelled academically but also made his mark as a member of the football team. His spirit of sportsmanship continued long after his college days, as he cherished many afternoons on the golf course or reeling in fish during family outings.Bob dedicated his career to helping others as a claims representative for State Auto, where he built lasting relationships throughout his tenure. After a fulfilling career, he embraced retirement, finding joy in woodworking, a passion that allowed him to create cherished gifts for family and friends. He also delighted in following the stock market, a hobby that sparked many lively conversations with loved ones.Family was at the heart of Bob's life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jessie Clawson, and their three sons, Rob (Melinda), Jay (Kristin), and Troy (Shelly). Bob was the proud grandfather of Dino (Rachel), Brooklyn (Bailey), Peyton, Morgan (Kevin), Kaelin, Colin, and Madison, and he reveled in every moment spent with them. His legacy continues to live on through his great-grandchildren, Lenora, Stella, and Benny. He was also a loving brother to Don (Louanne) Clawson, Barbara (Don) McCoy, and Charlene (Jerry) Sourvanos, and his fur buddy Leo.During his life, Bob embodied kindness and generosity, leaving an indelible impact on everyone who knew him. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering support will be deeply missed but forever cherished.Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Bob's remarkable life. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Noon in the Evans Funeral Home, Milford with a gathering beginning at 10:30AM. An invitation to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to us all will follow, allowing those whose lives he touched to share memories and stories.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Bob's honor, reflecting his enduring spirit of giving.
