Robert K. Denny, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on April 25, 1936, in Danville, Kentucky, Robert lived a life rich in love, faith, and dedication to his family and community.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Janice Qualls Denny. He is the loving father of the late Robert (Rebecca) Denny II and Kimberly (Jack) Geisler. He was the proud grandfather of Joshua (Meredith Newman) Denny, Samuel (Skye) Denny, Jamie (Jason) Frazer, Katie (Patrick) Wright, Amy (Cody) Miller, and Molly (Jim Ebbeler) Geisler. Robert was also a joyful great-grandfather to Alexis, Laken, Olivia, Quinn, Lilly, Eleanor, Finley, Jayce, Ava, MacLaine, Pete and Fritz. He is mourned by his family and remembered fondly as a loving brother to his late siblings, James (Rachelle) Denny, Wanetah Foust, Louise Zinn, and June Franklin.
Robert was a man of deep Christian faith, who valued family above all else. He enjoyed fostering connections and creating friendships wherever he went. A devoted fan of the University of Kentucky basketball team, he took pride in his alma maters, having obtained his Bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University, his Master's degree from Xavier University, and his specialist degree in administration from the University of Cincinnati.
Professionally, Robert dedicated himself to education, serving as a teacher at Bethel and Mariemont Schools and Principal at Mariemont and Batavia Schools. His passion for teaching was evident in the lives he touched and inspired throughout his career.
An adventurous spirit, Robert cherished the time spent traveling, especially during fishing trips to Canada with Janice. While he enjoyed exploring new places, he found profound joy in simply being at home, surrounded by his loved ones.
In celebration of Robert's remarkable life, a visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on March 12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather and share memories. Further, a funeral service will take place on March 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Springdale Church of the Nazarene, preceded by additional visitation at 10:00 AM. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
