It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert Calvert Ennis on December 26, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on January 4, 1931, to the late Robert L. and Florence (nee Calvert) Ennis, in Evanston, Indiana. Bob lived a life rich with kindness, generosity, and a deep love for his family.


Bob was the beloved husband of 67 years to Carolyn Ennis (nee Fuller); Loving father of Robert Andrew (Patricia) Ennis and Holly Anne Young; Dear grandpa of Alex Ennis, Rory Souhrada, Roman Young, and Rebecca Young.


A proud veteran, Bob served in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he worked at Cincinnati Milacron for an impressive 27 years and then later fulfilled his passion of machinery spending many years at Wright Tuning as a mechanic.


Bob was passionate about automobiles, often spending hours rebuilding cars and delving into the intricate details of mechanics. His love for all things with engines extended to motorcycles and boats, reflecting his adventurous spirit. An artist at heart, Bob displayed his creativity not only through automotive work but also through carpentry. He took great pride in his ability to construct and remodel, skillfully building his own barn, garages, grain bins, and even a boat, showcasing his unwavering dedication and talent.


In addition to his mechanical and artistic pursuits, Bob cherished the time spent farming livestock and grain with his family for a decade, creating lasting memories and strong bonds with those he loved. He will be remembered for his humility, intelligence, and most importantly, his love for people. His wife Carolyn's cooking brought him immense joy, a testament to the love that filled their home.


Bob will be truly missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
