Robert Scott Francia, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, departed this world peacefully on May 20, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 14, 1943, in Wooster, Ohio. Robert lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service.

A proud veteran, Robert served in the United States Air Force and was a dedicated member of the Southwest Ohio Memorial Team, providing military funeral honors to veterans of all branches of service. His commitment to honor those who served exemplified his deep respect for sacrifice and duty. He was also an active participant in the VFW Post 6562, American Legion Post 450, and American Legion Post 72, where he formed countless friendships that enriched his life. He was also a lifetime member of Pilots for Christ International, organizing air shows and mercy flights.

Professionally, Robert worked as a maintainer operator at Heekin Can, where he was well-respected for his hard work and integrity. He possessed an Associate's Degree, which he earned later in life, reflecting his commitment to education and personal growth.

Beyond work and service, Robert dedicated his leisure time to simple pleasures. He found joy in yard work, nurturing his garden, and observing the birds, squirrels, and fish in his beloved cement pond. A member of Christ Church at Mason, his faith was a guiding light throughout his life. He was also an avid chess player and collector, enjoying the strategic challenges and camaraderie that came with the game. Whether playing Euchre with friends or enjoying a game of bowling, Robert embraced every moment with enthusiasm and warmth.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Francia; daughter Annette (Bob) Martin; grandchildren Bobby and Tyler (Brooke) Martin; great-grandchildren Luke and Ella Martin; as well as siblings Sharon Ritchie, Ed Francia, Carol Jean Wolford, and Chris Francia. Each of these relationships was a treasure to him, and he cherished the memories they created together.

A visitation to remember Robert's life will be held on May 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Robert Scott Francia, let us remember his gentle spirit, his unwavering kindness, and his legacy of service to his country, community, and family. He will be missed dearly, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Robert was preceded in death by: parents Stephen Francia & Virginia Gronefeld, son Robb Francia, and siblings Michael & Fred Francia.
