Robert MItchell Guy

Robert "Bob" Mitchell Guy was a beloved brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, son, educator, coach, mentor, horseman, and friend. He passed away September 20, 2026, at the Magnolia Springs Retirement Community, Loveland. His life was defined by devotion to family and service to others.

Bob was born July 11, 1950, and grew up in Norwood, Ohio, with his sister and lifelong best friend, Paula Elizabeth Guy-born just 363 days after him. That bond stayed at the center of his life.

He attended Norwood schools for twelve years and played football at Norwood High School for four. He was the first in his family to go to college. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Kentucky University and later a Master's in Special Education from the University of Cincinnati.

Bob spent his career helping young people. He established the Special Education Department at Williamsburg High School and served as Head Wrestling Coach and Head Football Coach. In 2007 he was inducted into the Williamsburg Hall of Fame. The Williamsburg Bob Guy Invitational still carries his name because the impact he had on students, athletes, and that community never faded.

Bob was survived by his sister Paula (Mike) Sears; great nephews Colten Sears and Tyler Evans; and close family members Debbie Schmidtgoessling, Eva Austin, and Mary Hartman. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jean Guy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 in the Evans Funeral Home, Goshen beginning at 10:00AM with services beginning at 11:00AM.
