Robert Louis Armstrong, age 64, passed away on August 1, 2026, at The Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Robert was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Norbert Bernard Armstrong and Rose Ella Hanser Armstrong, both of whom preceded him in death. During his childhood, he was known as "Bobby" and grew up in the South Fairmount neighborhood of Cincinnati, where he made many memories that stayed with him throughout his life.
As an adult, he preferred to be called Robert. He was a one-of-a-kind person who was never afraid to be himself. He had a strong personality, strong opinions, and a stubborn streak, but those who knew him best saw the kindness, humor, and caring heart beneath the surface. Robert loved his family deeply and showed his love in his own unique way.
Robert was a hardworking man who took pride in every job he held. Throughout his life, he worked as a line cook, security guard, warehouse worker, and in other positions. He was proud of the work he did and the effort he gave.
Robert enjoyed spending time at home watching movies, playing bingo on Friday nights, and searching flea markets for great deals and hidden treasures. He especially enjoyed a good breakfast buffet and the chance to go back for seconds.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert Bernard Armstrong and Rose Ella Hanser Armstrong, and his wife, Shirley Armstrong.
He is survived by his brother, John Edwin Armstrong; his sister, Ruth Elizabeth Noe; his nephews, Tommy, Johnny, and Robert; and his niece, Jessica.
Robert will be remembered for his honesty, humor, hard work, and for always being true to himself. He leaves behind memories and stories that will continue to bring smiles to those who knew and loved him.
Though he will be deeply missed, Robert's memory will live on through the lives he touched and the many moments that made him uniquely Robert.
