Robert B. Lade

LADE, Robert B. - Age 85, Resident of Union Township, died on December 15, 2019, at Mercy Anderson Hospital. Mr. Lade grew up in Lima, Marietta, Grandview Hts., Columbus, and Lakewood, Ohio. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1952. He attended summer school at the National University of Mexico, Mexico City in 1952. In 1956, he graduated from Kent State University. After graduation he worked for the C&O Railroad- Chessie System, in the Coal Traffic and Development Department in Cleveland, then, later became an insurance claims adjuster. In 1966, Mr. Lade took a job at the Ford Motor Company in Cleveland Engine & Casting Plants in Brookpark, OH until 1978 when he transferred to the new Batavia Transmission Plant at Batavia, OH where he retired in 1999 after 33 years with Ford Motor Company. His hobbies included collecting antique cars, license plates, worldwide, and Auto Ads 1900 to present. He was a member of AACA, ALPCA, and Europlate. He was a father of 6, Allen Lade, Kimberly Robinson, Sandra Fox, Karen Scanlon, Jennifer Trotter, and Derek Lade. He was a grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 10.Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home 741 Center Street Milford, Ohio 45150, Friday, December 20, 2019 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
