Robert "Bob" Strotman, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was a man who truly knew how to enjoy life. Whether he was sitting on a boat with a cold beer, soaking up the sun listening to country or rock music, or spending time on the beaches of Destin or cruising the Ohio River, he lived simply and fully. He never missed a chance to tell a good (and often dirty) joke. Play a round of Yahtzee, or try his luck with lottery scratch-offs more than twice a day. His infectious country laugh could light up any room and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born and raised in Milford, Bob carried his roots proudly throughout his life. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving his country with honor.
Above all else, Bob's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was his family-especially his role as "Grandpa," a title he cherished more than anything.
He is survived by his children: Robert "Bobby" (Talia) Strotman, Brandon (Courtney) Strotman, Bradley Strotman, and Brianne (Brett) VanPelt.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Addyson and Brynnlee Strotman; Miranda and Garrett Jones; Bailey and Willow Strotman; Keilen, Kinley, Kamden, and Kenna Strotman; and Landon, Baker, and Tatum VanPelt.
Bob is also survived by his siblings: Karen and Jack Stricker; Jimmy and Lynn Strotman; Pam Strotman; and Tina Humphries, along with many nieces and nephews who adored him as "Uncle Bob."
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice (Boehl) Strotman of Milford; his brothers, Gary and Doug Strotman; and his nephew, Doug Strotman.
The family will be receiving friends Monday April 13, 2026 starting at 5:30 PM with Military Honors being presented at 6:30 PM. All at Evans Funeral Home 741 Center St. Milford, Ohio.
Bob will be remembered for his humor, his love of life, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared and the memories he created with those he loved most.
