Robert (Bob) Edward Swain, Jr., passed away peacefully at his home on November 8, 2018. The son of Robert Edward Swain, Sr., and Marion (Hammerly) Swain, he is survived by his adoring wife, Judy, his sister, Carol (Swain) Nickell (with her husband, John), his children, Lisa Kaye (Swain) Eberly and Robert Edward Swain III (with his wife, Susan), his grandchildren, Sara (Eberly) Cuny (with her husband, Lucas), Robert P. Swain, Reed Swain, and Christopher Eberly, nieces and nephews, and his dear friends Russell and Donna Smashey.
Bob was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on October 1, 1941. He was raised in Fairfield, Ohio, and graduated from Badin High School, where he lettered in basketball and played in the band. During high school, he met and later married the love of his life, Judy. The two celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary a few weeks prior to his departure.
Bob worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier for over 30 years. He was a loving and adoring son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. His greatest joys were his family and friends, his pets, and his beloved Cleveland Browns. He will be remembered as being caring, dependable, funny, kind, and lovable.
The family is planning a visitation period at Evan's Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio, on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 2 to 4 pm.
