Ronald E. Niederlehner

November 3, 1946 — November 6, 2024

Ronald Edward Niederlehner, a beloved brother, and uncle, passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 78. Born in Richmond, IN, Ron led a life filled with passion and dedication. He worked as an Electronic Technician at Milicron for many years, showcasing his skills and commitment to his craft.


Throughout his life, Ron found joy in multiple hobbies. From his love for trains, particularly the O gauge, to his membership in the LOTS and Hawks RC Plane Club, he had a keen interest in model planes and trains. He also enjoyed the peaceful moments spent fishing, finding solace in the tranquility of nature.


His dedication extended beyond his hobbies, as he was an active member of Faith Baptist Church for over 26 years, finding comfort and community in his faith. Ron proudly served in the Navy, with the rank of ETN2, from 1968 to 1972, highlighting his commitment to his country. He spent his time in the Navy stationed in Ireland and Greece.


Ron's memory will forever be cherished by his brother, Gary (Elaine) Niederlehner, and his nephews, David (Alisa) Niederlehner and Greg (Jenny) Niederlehner. As well as his great nieces and nephews Lilly, Leah, and Garrett.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ron's life will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Faith Baptist Church, with visitation starting at 10:00 am followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Subsequently, Ron will be laid to rest at Myers Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers a remembrance of Ron's life, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Indian Hope Mission at 28176 Chappelow Hill Road, West Harrison, IN 47060.


Though Ron may be physically absent, his memory and the impact he made on those he knew will live on eternally in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, Ron.


Ronald was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Edward and Helen Niederlehner.
