It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronnie Earl Scheadler, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 26, 2026, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH, where he resided for over ten years. Born on April 9, 1946, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Robert and Clara (nee Schnee) Scheadler.
Ronnie proudly served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of duty and honor. After returning home, he channeled his work ethic into his own successful landscaping business, which he operated for over 35 years.
An avid outdoorsman, Ronnie possessed an unmatched talent for fishing, often hitting the waters and he was the best bait hunter to ever live, much to the delight of local bait shops in the area. He also enjoyed hunting, trapping, and gardening.
Ronnie's spirit was defined by his infectious laughter and larger-than-life presence. Known for his engaging storytelling and joyous demeanor, he brought light and happiness to those around him. His fierce love for family was unwavering; he cherished every moment spent with them. Ronnie will be remembered as a hardworking individual who found joy in the simple things in life, whether it was scrapping metal or basking in the great outdoors.
Ronnie is survived by his devoted wife, Lucy (nee Taylor) Scheadler, who stood by his side for an amazing 47 years. Loving father of Jeff (Terri) Scheadler, Greg (Dawn) Scheadler, and Rhonda Scheadler; Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Ginny), Travis (Stefan), Tiffany, Preston, and Colton; Great grandfather of Kaiden; Dear brother of Mike (Joann) Scheadler and John (the late Harriet) Scheadler. Ronnie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family expresses profound gratitude to the staff at the Ohio Veterans Home for their compassionate care and kindness during Ronnie's time there.
