Rose Capurro

Rose Capurro (Nee Manfredi) was born on July 29, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Fred and Isabella (Nee Palotta) Manfredi; Loving wife of 54 years to the late Nico Capurro; Dear mother to John (Terri) Capurro and Lorraine Capurro; Cherished grandma to Jenni (Alex Crawford) Capurro and Tony (Sarah) Capurro; Great grandma to Naomi and Sienna Capurro; Step-mother to Carmelo Capurro, Angela Capurro, and the late Lucia Fraley; Dear sister to the late Caroline Rosa. Rose is also survived by many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rose accomplished many things throughout her life. She became a registered nurse and worked as a surgical nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital and then transferred to Mt. Washington Care Center where she worked for 30 years as a charge nurse. Rose enjoyed playing tennis, she was a certified scuba diver, and she even owned her own restaurant called Grotta Azzurra. Rose’s biggest accomplishment was her family. She lived for her children and grandchildren.

Rose passed away on October 31, 2022 at the age of 88. Resident of Milford, Ohio. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 starting at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church – 800 Ohio Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45245. A procession to Pierce Township Cemetery will follow the mass – 950 Locust Corner Road, Cincinnati, OH 45245. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati and/or Comboni Missionaires (links located at the bottom of page).
