Roy Clifford Prater was born on February 2, 1931, in Claiborne, TN, to the late Frank and Daisy (nee Phillips) Prater. Roy was the loving husband of 66 years to the late Betty J. Prater (nee Hoskins). Dear father of Dave (Sue) Prater, Kim (Darrell) Clemons, and the late Jimmy “Slinky” Prater. Grandfather of Matt, Brandon, Samantha, Derrick, and Taylor. Great-grandfather of Wyatt, Miles, and Corbin. Cherished brother of Charlie Prater and the late Truman Prater.
Ron was a Mason at Lodge #54 for over 50 years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and went to the Bristol Motor Speedway twice every year. He also enjoyed camping, hunting, and even coached little league baseball. Roy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed
Roy Prater passed away on November 25, 2023, age 92. Resident of Union Township. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home – 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens – 5989 Deerfield Rd, Milford, OH 45150
