Ruby Alene Williams

Ruby Alene Williams, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Thursday August 17, 2023 at the age of 81 in Charlotte, NC. She was born July 10th, 1942 to the late Charles and Myrtle (Whitis) Jones in Deer Lick, Kentucky.

Alene graduated from Bush high school in London, KY before attending Sue Bennett College. After moving to Cincinnati she worked as a secretary for an Insurance company before marrying the love of her life Joe. Alene loved traveling, sewing, crocheting and was a devoted wife and mother.

Alene is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 54 years Joseph Williams, her beloved son Robert Allen Williams, brothers Troy Jones, Arthur (Jean) Jones, Leroy Jones, and a sister Faye Cook.

Alene is survived by her daughter, Janie (Matt) Bernard of Charlotte, NC, two adored grandchildren, Harry Bernard and Abby Bernard, two sisters, Jeannie (Gerald) Dunaway of Winchester, KY, Lorraine (Mitchell) Wilson of London, KY, and a brother Lowell (Linda) Jones of London, KY.

A private family service and burial will honor Alene at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for memorial donations to be sent to the Carmel Hills Care Center, 2801 Carmel Rd. Charlotte, NC 28226 in honor of the nurses who loved and cared for her.
