Ruth Ann Cox

Ruth (Allen) Cox, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on June 11, 1948, Ruth lived a life rich in love, creativity, and strong family bonds.

Ruth was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family. She found joy in every moment, whether she was crafting beautiful ceramics, dancing to her favorite tunes, or arranging stunning floral displays. Her hands were always busy, skillfully crocheting blankets and creating cherished Cabbage Patch Kids for the little ones in her life. Ruth's love for arts and crafts allowed her to share her creativity with others, leaving a lasting impression on her family and friends.

Ruth had an immense passion for animals, especially her beloved dog Bella, who was a constant companion by her side. Her nurturing nature extended not only to her family but to all creatures that crossed her path.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jack Cox, her children; Cheryl Cox and Jack Cox, her grandchildren, Christopher (Samantha), Courtney, Nick (Samantha), Katie, Ian (Kory), Owen, Jorden (Ryan), Rory and Landen, her 13 great-grandchildren and her siblings, Carl Allen, Tracy Allen, Mary Cheesebro, Nancy Akers, Connie (Richard) Warner, Kenny Allen and Karen Sherrod. They will remember her as a strong-willed woman whose greatest treasure was her family and carry her memory in their hearts as they cherish the moments shared and the lessons learned from her. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Freda (Miller) Allen and siblings, Hershey Allen, Gertrude Allen and Robert Allen.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on March 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation commencing at 1:00 PM. The family invites all who knew and loved Ruth to join them in celebrating her beautiful life.

Her light will shine on through the many lives she touched, embodying the strength, creativity, and love that defined her existence. Ruth Cox will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
