Ruth Ann Hinners

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Ann Hinners, a cherished member of the Newtonsville community, who peacefully departed on August 18, 2024, at the age of 88. Ruth was born on January 19, 1936, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Jesse and Ethel (nee Shumard) Mohler.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Lester M. Hinners; her sons Douglas (Sharon) and Darin (Teresa) Hinners; her adoring grandchildren Sabrina Seamon and Jacob Hinners; and her great-granddaughter Alice Sells.

Ruth dedicated 33 years of her life to the banking industry, working as Vice President of Commercial Loans at Chase Bank. She was known for her hard work, professionalism, and passion for helping others achieve their financial goals. Outside of work, Ruth enjoyed traveling to destinations like Gatlinburg and Hawaii, indulging in her love of sewing, and shopping for shoes.

Above all, Ruth cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She delighted in hosting family meals and creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her vibrant personality, kindness, and unwavering support will always be remembered by those who knew her.

Ruth was a devout Christian and an active member of the Women's Circle at Newtonsville United Methodist Church, where she found joy in serving her community and growing in her faith.

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Ruth's life will be held at Plainview Cemetery on August 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Friends, family, and members of the community are invited to attend and pay their respects to a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. May her kindness and warmth live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
