Born in Carthage, Ohio, to Francis Eugene and Wilhelmina (Wilike) Curtis, Ruth Mary Sullivan went to her eternal reward, having recently celebrated her 100th birthday. She was a loving wife for over 50 years to Clement J. Sullivan who predeceased her, and devoted mother to James, Kathleen (Barton), and Douglas Sullivan. She is grandmother to five grandchildren and great grandmother to 8 and one great-great granddaughter. For the past 64 years the family home was in Milford, Ohio. As a stay at home mom Ruth Mary was involved in scouting, gardening, Humane Society, Milford Progress Club, Library Board, Nature Center, and St. Andrew Church Milford, Ohio. While at St. Andrew’s she was involved in RCIA, Bible Study, originated the plant sale, and organized food for a homeless shelter. She traveled extensively in America and in Europe. Her favorite verse is 2Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Her favorite charities are Red Cloud Indian School in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, The Cincinnati Center, and St Andrew School Fund Milford, Ohio.
