It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Scottye Ann Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, who departed this world peacefully on February 23, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 29, 1942, to the late Walter and Lucille (nee Ryan) Manion.
Scottye dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving the youth of St. Andrew Catholic Church, where her warmth and compassion profoundly impacted the lives of countless young people.
Scottye was a very creative woman. She was an extraordinary scrapbooker, a passionate reader, and a talented seamstress, who enjoyed making Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren, bonnets for baptisms, and beautiful curtains that added personal touches to her family's homes. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her craft as she embraced the joy of travel and set sail on many memorable cruises, creating cherished memories with her family and friends.
Scottye's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She relished the moments shared with her daughters, as well as her beloved grandchildren. Scottye had the remarkable gift of making everyone feel welcome; she was a friend to all who crossed her path and never met a stranger. Her infectious smile and good sense of humor lit up every room she entered. Her presence was a gift, and her unwavering support brought comfort to many.
Scottye was the beloved wife of 30 years to the late Michael T. Anderson; Loving mother of Amy (Steve) Sutphin, Molly (Michael) Geise, and Megan Anderson; Cherished Grammy to Michael Sutphin, Emily (Alex) Colyer, Sara Geise, and Chris Geise. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Along with her husband and parents, Scottye is preceded in death by her brother Gene Manion and his wife Millie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Scottye's honor at St. Andrew Catholic Church on March 1, 2025, at 10:00 am. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on February 28, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, to celebrate the life of a truly remarkable woman.
