Shelby G. Whitaker beloved husband of 56 years to Clara (nee Moore) Whitaker; loving father of Teresa (Dennis) Shackelford, Paula (Jim) Windholtz, Jeff (Kathleen) Whitaker, Jeanie Ansteatt, Sheila (Todd) Ellis and Monica (Dominic) Hassert; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; dear brother of Eola Caudill, Bill Whitaker and Dean Whitaker; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mattie (nee Caudill) Whitaker; and siblings, Clarence Whitaker, Ila Adams, Kathleen Bridges and Arnold Whitaker. Went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 8, 2019. Age 77. Residence Maineville, OH. Mr. Whitaker was the owner and operator of A1 Vacuum Shop from 1980 to 2002. He was a big Cincinnati Reds fan and an awesome husband, dad and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Saturday May 11th at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt 28, Goshen from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St Patrick Cemetery in Fayetteville, OH.
