She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Jessie Woolum, brother Bub Woolum, and her beloved son Kelley Hiter.
Sherrie was our “Queen Bee” who lived every moment with joy, laughter, and a touch of sass. She was the life of every party, the “hostess with the mostest,” and the heartbeat of every celebration. Whether it was a birthday, a holiday, or just a Tuesday that needed a little sparkle, Sherrie made sure it was marked with friends, family, food, and fun. “Itinerary Sherrie” never passed up the chance to plan an adventure, whether it was a girls’ trip, family vacation, or party, it was always filled with laughter, spirited games of euchre and marbles, and just a bit of gambling for fun. To know Sherrie was to be loved by her. She was selfless, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear, and she never met a stranger. She had a heart as big as her laugh and a spirit that lit up every room she entered. Her friendships were deep and lasting—she gave the best gifts, baked the sweetest treats, and was always on the lookout for a free sample or two. She was a proud dog momma, a devoted gardener, a bargain shopper extraordinaire, and a woman of unwavering faith. Sherrie’s confidence in being reunited with her beloved parents, brother, and son brings comfort to those she left behind. Her legacy lives on in her husband, niece, grandchildren, her cherished friends, and the countless lives she touched with her warmth, humor, and boundless love. There truly wasn’t a better friend than Sherrie—and there never will be. Till the next time, “Hootie Hoo”…
