Sheryl Dooley

Sheryl Harris Dooley, 81, of Milford, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Sheryl was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was defined by her selflessness, warmth, and light. She had an infectious laugh and a caring heart that made everyone around her feel loved and at ease.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Dooley; and her sons: Alex and his wife Libby Cannon of Godfrey, Illinois, and their children Sophie (Andrew Perpignani), Isabel, Jackson, and Caroline; Ben and his wife Amanda Cannon of Nashville, Tennessee, and their children Abby, Charlie, Harper, and Margot; and Nick and his wife Courtney Cannon of Dallas, Texas, and their children Hudson and Crew. Her family was the center of her world and her greatest joy. Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Ione Harris, whom she loved unconditionally.

She loved the beach and the ocean, where she found peace and happiness, and she adored her beloved basset hound, Sadie. She will be remembered for the way she showed up for others—with kindness, generosity, and a bright spirit that lifted those around her.

Her family will forever carry her love with them.

A private celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
