Shirley R. Ball

Shirley R. (nee Hensley) Ball born October 12, 1936, passed away December 26, 2023. Preceded in death by husband, Quinton Q. Ball and parents, Esther (nee Queen) Hensley and Cecil L. Hensley; Brothers Herbert L. Hensley, Clyde R. Hensley, Calvin Hensley; Sisters Ethel Cobb, Ruby Bowen, Eva Mae Hensley, Madge Buckner, Mary L. Levi, and Betty June Cheek. Survived by daughter Nancy E. Jackson; granddaughter Becky Jackson-Haack (Craig) and grandson Danny (Melissa) Jackson; Great-grandson Colton and great-grandaughter Madison. Shirley is also survived by numerous niece and nephews. Devoted friends Nancy McCollum of Milford, OH, and the late John Prohaska of Portsmouth, OH.

Shirley was a 1954 graduate of Weaverville High School, Weaverville, NC. A retiree of Ford Motor Company, L-M Division in 1991 and has resided in Milford for a number of years. Shirley belonged to Ohio Eastern Star and was Worthy Matron 5 times and was a 25 year member of Eastern Star, Covert Chapter #547 of Withamsville, OH.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 1, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home – 741 Center Street, Milford, OH 45150. Eastern Star services will be at 5:45 PM. Funeral service will be held the following morning on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery, Monterey Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital.(Link Below)
