Shirley Davis

Shirley Oleta Davis (nee Donaldson), a longtime resident of Fairfax, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2025. Shirley was born in Highland County, Ohio on April 19, 1936 to the late Edd and Mary (Dudley) Donaldson. She met her beloved late husband, Russell Lee Davis at Fairfax Church of the Nazarene and married him there on September 22, 1962. Shirley was the loving mother of Melissa Davis, Cheryl Nichting, and the late Russell (Kathleen) Davis. She was the cherished grandmother of Alyssa (Zach) Ashcraft, and Quincy and Noah Davis. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters and their spouses. In celebration of Shirley's life and the love she shared, a funeral service will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on November 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., following a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Shirley will be entombed later that day at 3:00 p.m. at Graceland Memorial Gardens, located at 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army of Southwest Ohio or Matthew 25 Ministries, as a way to honor the charitable spirit Shirley exemplified throughout her life.
