Shirley Mae Gossett

November 16, 1934 — December 5, 2018

Shirley Mae Gossett, wife of the late Bill Gossett, loving mother of Brenda (Don) Horman, Jennifer (John) Shannon, devoted Grammy of Emma and Taylor Horman and Gavin Gossett, passed Wednesday December 5, 2018 at age 84 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 16, 1934 in Cincinnati the daughter of James and Emma (nee Eschman) Cochran. Shirley was blessed with loving siblings including (the late) Betty Gnocchi, Anita Kochis (Chuck), (the late) James Cochran, (the late) Mary Culp (Greg), (the late) Ronnie Smith. She was also loved and respected by a large extended family and church family. Shirley loved animals and has enjoyed many pets through the years. She is survived by her dog Gunner and cats Frosty, Bitsy, Lilly and Poppy.

She married Clarence (Bill) Gossett on November 30, 1963 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a large group of family and friends in 2013. Shirley and Bill were long-time residents of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio. Shirley retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000 after 28 years. They became members of Christ Presbyterian Church in 2009 and found a great peace and loving support throughout their final years with their church family.

A viewing will be held Monday, December 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church at 5657 Pleasant View Drive, Milford, Ohio 45150. Services will be held Tuesday, December 11 at 11:30 a.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, with the Reverend Linda McClanahan officiating. Entombment will follow in the Graceland Mausoleum in Miami Township.

Memorials can be made to Christ Presbyterian Church in Shirley's honor.
