Sylvia Ionna

The world has lost a beloved soul with the passing of Sylvia Ionna, a compassionate woman who left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Sylvia was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 23, 1947, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for nature and all living creatures. Her infectious love for gardening, cooking Italian cuisine, and caring for her beloved pets reflected her nurturing spirit that resonated with all who knew her.

Having dedicated her career to serving as a Clinical Manager for the City of Cincinnati, Sylvia's impact extended far beyond her professional life. Sylvia's home was always a warm haven filled with the aromas of freshly cooked meals and the sounds of 70's disco bands, she often attend the JAPA (Junior Professionals) dances, a reflection of her joyful personality and love for life.

In her final days, Sylvia passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by her nephews Steve (Jen) Gallo and Brent Ionna. Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents Cherubino and Emma Ionna, her sister Thelma (Bob) Gallo and her brother Robert (Beverly) Ionna.

Sylvia may have left this world, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all those she touched, a timeless reminder of the power of compassion and grace in our lives. Let us remember Sylvia Ionna with love and gratitude, for she will forever remain a beacon of light in our memories. A celebration of her life will be held in the near future.
