Tammy Ruehrwein

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tammy Mitchell Ruehrwein, who left us on April 9, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on May 28, 1970, to the late Earl and Verlie Imogene Mitchell in Columbus, OH. Tammy was a long-time resident of Miami Township, but she also found great joy in the beautiful surroundings of Panama City Beach, Florida, where she spent the last few years of her life.

Tammy had an infectious positivity that could light up any room. Her bubbly and outgoing personality drew people to her, and those who knew her will remember her warmth and cheerful spirit. She cherished moments spent by the beach and loved fishing, adventures, and traveling, but above all, family was her greatest treasure. She devoted her life to her loved ones, finding joy in the simplest moments spent together.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Russell Ruehrwein; Loving mother of Collin (Madison) Ruehrwein and Clay Ruehrwein; Dear sister of Sue King, Sharon Jarvis, special sister Brenda Bogar, Regina Stanley, Garrick Tackett, Bobby Gibson, Kristie Bruns, and her sister-in-law Janice Mitchell.

Along with her parents, Tammy is preceded in death by her brother James Mitchell.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Evans Funeral Home - 741 Center St, Milford, OH 45150. A funeral service will be held the following morning on Friday, April 24, 2026, starting at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery - Miamiville.
