Terry P. Hollaender

February 15, 1946 — July 25, 2022

Terry P. Hollaender, beloved husband of 51 years to Joan Hollaender (nee Gerwe); Devoted father of Michele (David E.) Pride, John P. Hollaender, Ted (Donna) Hollaender, and Sharon (Stephen) Shepherd; Loving grandfather to Lauren (Ian) Bolin, David John Pride, James Terry Shepherd, Ted Brayden Hollaender, Grace Pride, Gabriella Shepherd, Brittany Hazelbaker and Mariah Hazelbaker. Terry is also survived by countless family and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Hollaender and Elizabeth (Sterz) Hollaender; and brother, Kenneth Hollaender. Terry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but soon moved to Clermont County. He graduated from Clermont Northeastern High School and attended trade school to become an electrician. He had a passion for working on cars and soon took up drag racing in the NHRA. It was during this time that he met his wife, Joanie, and they would soon start a family. Terry worked for many years first at Cincinnati Milacron and then Ford Motor Company. He worked countless hours as both an electrician and a farmer to abundantly provide for his family. Over the years, Terry fixed and built many things. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix or build and we all came to him for help. He taught us to do things the “right way” and to always be safe when handling tools and machinery. You would often find him in his garage under a car, truck, or tractor. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching the grandkids play sports, and family get-togethers. When we think of Terry, we will always remember Bubble Yum gum, Twizzlers, wearing shorts in the middle of winter, his love for all things made in America, and the practical jokes he played. We will miss you always but we are all better people because of everything you taught us. Passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends will be received at Saint Angela Merici church,130 Stone Alley, Fayetteville, OH 45118, on Saturday, July 30th from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM. Mass of Christian burial begins at 11:00 AM.
