It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry L. Thomas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2025. Born on June 21, 1958, in Jackson, Kentucky, Terry's journey through life reflected his unwavering spirit, warmth, love for his family and friends, and passion for all things with motors.Terry was a proud graduate of Norwood High School, Class of 1976.
He established a successful career as the owner of Terry Thomas Custom Paint and Body, where his skills and creativity earned him a well-deserved reputation within the community. Known as a "people person," Terry was the kind of individual everyone wanted to be around - he was the leader of the pack, always filling the room with laughter and sharing his signature one-liners.
A true motor enthusiast, Terry enjoyed everything from motorcycles to cars and boats. His adventurous spirit drew him to the water, where he spent countless hours boating with family and friends. His passion for motorsports carried him to Daytona for Bike Week, to Pigeon Forge for car shows and motorcycle rides, and on Jeep off-roading adventures.
Family was Terry's greatest treasure. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie Thomas, along with his cherished children, Carissa (Wes) Womack and Cody (Maggie) Thomas. As a proud grandfather, Terry delighted in the lives of Layne and Emberly Womack, as well as Georgie Thomas, making it a priority to attend their ballgames and support their endeavors. His brother, Gary W. Thomas, remains connected to a legacy of love and kinship that Terry fostered throughout his life. He also is survived by his half sister Rhonda (Dan) Gaffney. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Billy Thomas and Mable Holbrook.
Funeral services for Terry will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, Milford on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00AM with Clyde Shackelford officiating, visitation will begin at 9:00AM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man whose life was defined by love, laughter, and the joy of motors.
The ceremony will provide an opportunity to share stories and celebrate the impact Terry had on all who knew him.In this time of reflection and remembrance, let us honor Terry for the joy he brought into our lives and the cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in each of us.
