It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thelma Jean Shelton, who left this world on December 21, 2025, at the age of 88. Thelma was born on November 12, 1937, to the late Ballard and Loretta (nee Quillen) Webb, in Letcher Co., KY. She lived a life dedicated to love, family, and unwavering commitment.
Thelma spent 69 beautiful years married to the love of her life, Andy Shelton. Together, they were a devoted couple, side by side every single day, exemplifying the true meaning of partnership. Their love was evident in their exceptional commitment to providing their children and grandchildren with the best lives possible. Family meant everything to Thelma; her heart was kind, and her spirit loving and supportive.
Having a strong work ethic that defined her character, Thelma dedicated over 41 years to the production side of the Pepsi Company. Her work brought her joy, and she was honored to travel to New York City to receive recognition for her efforts. In a testament to her love for her family, she took Andy on this trip, marking the first big adventure they shared, as their lives had primarily revolved around their work and cherished family moments. Thelma's impeccable care for her home did not go unnoticed; she was awarded for her beautifully maintained property and landscaping by the city of Huber Heights.
Thelma was the beloved wife of 69 years to William "Andy" Shelton; Loving mother of Darrell (Tricia) Shelton and Dale (Dawn) Shelton; dear grandmother of Kelly (Mike) George, Morgan Shelton, Alexander (Sophia) Shelton, and John Shelton; great-grandmother of Helena George. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Along with her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her siblings Opal Kincer, Orville Webb, Nannie Bentley, Maggie Kincer, Fran Ford, and Larue Kincer.
Thelma's humbleness and selflessness were traits that touched everyone who knew her. She had a remarkable gift for uplifting others, and her compassionate spirit will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Funeral service will begin at 2:30 PM. A private burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.
