Theodore "Ted" R. Lyttle Jr. age 76 of Wayne Township passed away, surrounded by his family, early Wednesday morning, January 23, 2019, at The Laurels of Blanchester. He was born December 26, 1942 in Blanchester, the son of T. Roy and Ethel J. (nee Jones) Lyttle Sr. Ted helped with the family farm, in Wayne Township, over the years and his family's Standard Oil Company, working alongside of his dad and driving the oil truck. He is a 1960 graduate of Blanchester High School and enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard, while working as a Clermont County Deputy Sheriff for many years. On March 1, 1969 he married Charolette Greene Lyttle.Ted always enjoyed being active in his community. He was a member of the Edenton Lodge F&AM #332, the American Legion #179, a Wayne Township Trustee and sold real estate and became an auctioneer in the 70's and 80's. He was a lineman and consultant for the Blanchester Public Utilites retiring after 30 years of service. After his retirement, he enjoyed time with his family and friends, often camping and vacationing with his wife, sons and grandchildren. Having his entire family together were his most special times. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years; Charolette, sons and daughters-in-law; Theodore R. & Tammy Lyttle III, Douglas O. & Joy Lyttle, grandchildren; Christina (Julian) Bradley, Erica Lyttle, Cheyenne Lyttle, great-grandson; Judah Bradley and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28 in Goshen 45122 where visitation will be 12:00 PM until the time of service. A Masonic Service will begin at 1:45 PM. Pastor Steve Bell will officiate with Pastor Julian Bradley asssiting with music and the ulogy. Burial will follow in the Edenton Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #179. His granddaughter and nephew will fold and present his flag. Ted's family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor be sent to the American Legion Post #179, 318 E. Main St., Rm 220, Blanchester, 45107 or Alzheimer's Association 644 Linn St. Suite 1026, Cincinnati 45203-1742.
