Thomas R. Gray, 83, of Landen, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2021. Tom was born in Chicago, Illinois on
April 9, 1938, to his late loving parents, Harold Gray and Lillian Gray (nee Desjardins). He was preceded in death by his
late sister, Virginia Jean Gray.
Tom was the beloved husband of JoAnn Gray (nee Smith), who preceded him in death in 2004, after 45 years of
marriage. He was a devoted father, survived by his children, Brice Gray of Landen, Ohio and Renee Gray-Wilburn of
Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has five grandchildren: Brennan Gray, Conner Wilburn, Zachary Gray, Cayla Wilburn and
Chandler Wilburn.
Tom moved to the Cincinnati area later in his childhood and was a 1956 graduate of Mariemont High School. He served
honorably in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for the following six years. He later entered the data processing field,
which opened into a lifetime career path spanning several companies and industries as information technologies
expanded, ending with his retirement from Midland Insurance in 2006. He enjoyed photography, golf, sailing and
working on home and garden projects during his adult life. He had a big heart for animals and had a variety of pets,
including several rescue cats and his beloved retriever, Goldie, in his final years.
Tom loved his Lord Jesus Christ, and followed Him throughout his life journey, demonstrating his faith through his
devotion to God, his heart for people and his excellence of character. He was active for many years in church life, serving
in various ministries and touching very many lives with a humble, caring and serving heart. That wonderful heart will be
missed by his family and friends, but we celebrate his homecoming in heaven, where he has been welcomed by Jesus
and reunited with many who loved him during this life!
Private memorial services will be held in Toms honor. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to one of
