Thomas Charles Kretten

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Charles Kretten, a beloved husband, father, and papaw. Tom passed peacefully at his home in Williamsburg, OH, surrounded by his loving family on October 3, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on August 11, 1950, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Anthony and Marianne (nee Soellner) Kretten.

Tom will be remembered as a loving and dedicated family man who cherished spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His family was the light of his life. Tom was also known for his warm sense of humor, generosity, and willingness to help others in need. He had a passion for the outdoors, often enjoying hunting and fishing in his free time.

A devout sports fan, Tom found joy in watching his favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and NASCAR races. His laughter and jokes will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Ruth J. Kretten (nee Rush); Loving father of Tina (Matthew) Cook, Andrew (Danielle) Kretten, Jacob Kretten, and Amanda Kretten; Cherished papaw of Brittany, Ryan, Madison, Tyler, Kaylee, Lynnix, Levi, and three great-granchildren Shane, Aliannah, and Naomi; Brother of Chris, Sue, Mike, Amy, Daniel, Tony Jr., and Pete.

Along with his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his son Steven Kretten and his brother Steve.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home – 741 Center St, Milford, OH 45150. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, OH.
