It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Andreas Sperelakis, fondly known as Tom, who left us on October 13, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on December 29, 1969, in Charlottesville, VA, to Nicholas Sperelakis Sr. and Dolores (nee Martinis) Sperelakis.
Tom spent his life bringing joy and warmth to those around him. He spent 20 years in Chicago before he returned to the Cincinnati area, where he cherished reconnecting with family and friends. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, vibrant personality, and infectious laughter.
Tom was a true lover of life. His passion for horse-racing was only rivaled by his love for travel, with Clearwater Beach, FL, holding a special place in his heart. He enjoyed gathering with loved ones, cooking delightful meals, and sharing stories that always made everyone laugh.
Active in his community, Tom embraced his Greek heritage with pride, participating in the Greek Church and supporting its festivals. He also dedicated his time to water conservation charities, reflecting his commitment to making a difference in the world.
Tom is survived by his loving mother, Dolores Sperelakis; Cherished father of Jacob (Brittany) Sperelakis; Dear grandfather to Tate and Charles Sperelakis; Brother of Nico (Sandy) Sperelakis, Sophia Sperelakis, and his twin brother Anthony (Haiyan) Sperelakis; Dear uncle to Demi, Nina, Gregory, and Mia; Godfather to Grace.
Tom is preceded in death by his father Nicholas Sperelakis Sr. and his brother Mark Sperelakis.
Memorial donations can be made in Tom's name to the American Cancer Society or Matthew 25 Ministries.
As we remember Tom, let us hold close the cherished moments and the laughter he brought into our lives. May his spirit live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
