Tony S Petrey

Tony S. Petrey, age 77, resident of Goshen, Ohio passed away on Sunday November 13, 2022. Born in Jellico Tennessee on March 20, 1945, to the late Ed and Elvia Petrey. Survived by wife Maureen Petrey; father of Jeanna Haggard, Ryan Petrey and Todd Koenig. Dear brother of Joyce Henson, Betty Merick, Jackie Addison and 6 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth Petrey, Winford Petrey, Bill Petrey, and sisters Wilma Petrey and Judy Moses.

Tony will be missed by many other family members and friends. Tony worked as a truck driver, construction worker and plant operator until retiring in 2005. Tony found retirement at Peterloon Foundation as a caretaker of the estate where he was able to enjoy what he called “the best kind of retirement” until moving back to Goshen in 2018.

Tony was a Vietnam War Veteran and served his county proudly. Tony served in the United States Army in the aviation division. Tony enjoyed being a veteran and valued the lifelong friendships that he made along the way.

Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home, 1944 State Route 28, Goshen Ohio, on Saturday November 19th at 2:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 3:00pm with Military Honors immediately after.
